As a Corrections Deputy, you will play a vital role in maintaining order and providing emergency response within the Montgomery County Jail.   • High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license is essential for this role.
  • Certification from the Tennessee Corrections Institute is a must-have.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Provide emergency response and manage inmate care and custody.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the Montgomery County Jail facility.
  • Accurately prepare records and reports, maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Assist in the training of personnel, fostering a skilled and knowledgeable team.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Sheriff's Office Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines.
  • Participate in recruitment and community relations activities, representing the Sheriff's Office.
  • Provide courtroom testimony as required, offering expert insights.
  • Act with firmness, tact, and impartiality, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
  • Meet all training requirements, staying updated with the latest skills and knowledge.
