REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports to: US Logistics Business Execution Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Execution Officer is responsible for the end-to-end execution of physical commodity contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This role serves as a critical link between commercial, logistics, finance, treasury, customers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure seamless transaction execution and exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will proactively identify operational risks associated with trade execution, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external business partners. Through effective coordination and communication, the Business Execution Officer ensures timely delivery, accurate documentation, inventory control, and financial settlement of transactions.

As the business grows, this role is expected to evolve, supporting the development of scalable processes, enhanced operational capabilities and specialized execution activities.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Trade & Contract Execution
  • Monitor and manage all aspects of trade execution from contract award through final settlement.
  • Identify operational, logistical, financial, and compliance risks and implement appropriate mitigation.
  • Ensure transactions are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines in accordance with contractual terms, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Logistics Coordination
  • Coordinate deliveries with suppliers, customers, carriers, terminals, and warehouses.
  • Arrange domestic and international transportation, including trucking, rail, and ocean freight.
  • Manage customs clearance activities and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
  • Coordinate weighing, sampling, inspection, and assay processes as required.
Commercial & Customer Support
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for customers, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Maintain strong relationships through timely communication and proactive problem resolution.
  • Coordinate assay exchanges and resolve discrepancies with counterparties.
Financial & Administrative Activities
  • Create and maintain purchase orders and sales orders within ERP systems.
  • Review supplier invoices for accuracy and facilitate payment processing.
  • Prepare, validate, and issue customer invoices.
  • Support weekly, month-end and year-end reporting activities as required.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Logistics, Planning, Finance, Treasury, and Operations teams.
  • Communicate daily with counterparties, laboratories, carriers, and production facilities.
  • Provide backup support for other Business Execution team members as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting is preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ of experience in similar role.
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP experience is desirable.
