The Manager, Used Vehicle Sales will provide field support, focusing on improving price, vehicle disposal, development of sales strategies, and sales process improvement across the organization. Works directly on the development, ownership and successful execution of company used vehicle strategies, annual forecasts, and plans. Vehicles are defined as any light duty rental or owned pickups and service trucks.

Responsibilities:

• Field Support and Guidance: Manages 3rd party pricing source (Rouse Asset Services) related to the vehicle pricing model execution. Acts as primary liaison between the Division Fleet Teams and Rouse Asset Services.

• Develop and manage disposal program to maximize proceeds and profit. Provide Support on pricing, sales channels, etc. to the Used Equipment Managers and Division Fleet Directors as needed.

• Develop and Maintain Used Vehicle Playbook. Performs various Vehicle Equipment Sales Data analysis as requested. Works with Marketing to support any special sales events related to Vehicles.

• Used Vehicle Pricing Model/System Management: Reviews and adjusts as needed based on actual attainments, market conditions and channel mix. Manages and adjusts the BMV values monthly and reporting to ensure uniform broker channel pricing across the Regions.

• Used Vehicle Sales Channel Management: Develop program by channel that includes timing in each category. Within the channels identify best practice to maximize proceed and profit. Review and Approval of Auction consignment lists.

• Review performance of each channel and the different type of customer within those channels. Provide results to the Division and Region Fleet Mgt. teams to support best practice.

• Rental Useful Life (RUL) System Management: Evaluate RUL threshold system once a year or as needed to maintain current pricing levels. Include hour multiplier thresholds.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience

• 5-7 years progressive experience in Vehicle fleet management

• Strong understanding of rental industry, vehicles and primary equipment types

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to write, interpret and enforce procedures

• Presentation or negotiation skills a plus

• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage others, supervisory experience preferred

• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook), Windows

• Solid decision-making skills with strategic long term vision capabilities

• Excellent analytical business and statistical skills
