Job Description

Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Asset Manager is responsible for determining the credit quality and assisting with the exit strategies of the assets in the Special Situations Team portfolio. Involved in the initial and ongoing assessment of loans, credit approval discussions, and will assist junior team members with analysis and output. The Asset Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring all credit processes are adequate, including the timely completion of credit requests, past due management, problem credit management and audit and portfolio risk compliance. Depending on the situation the Asset Manager may oversee the management of other real estate owned.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Review, develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize value

  • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to determine property value, annual cash flows, loan refinance viability and potential returns

  • Review and approve leasing plans and periodic leasing reports. Approve requests for new leases, renewal leases, lease terminations and lease modifications

  • Review property budgeting and ongoing operations including maintenance and repairs and other improvements


Essential Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of banking and/or commercial real estate management / financing experience

  • 5+ years of management experience would be helpful

  • BA/MBA in finance, accounting, or other related field

  • Strong leadership abilities and strategic management skills

  • Knowledge of unit(s) and relation to industry

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills


Accountabilities:

  • Decisions are made in conjunction with major corporation programs, plans or strategies. Independent action is normally required although other division or senior managers are usually consulted before final action is taken

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $183,005.00 - $215,300.00 - $236,830.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
