As a critical member of our team, you’ll be involved from design through project level management, with no two projects ever the same. We serve clients in the industrial, commercial, municipal, and institutional market sectors and we’ll need you adept at all civil engineering tasks, including developing or analyzing alternative solutions, overseeing staff, and leading design projects.

Key elements of work will include:

  • Represent TTL before existing and potential clients
  • Manage project scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for a variety of projects
  • Provide engineering expertise and develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Review and direct the work of others
  • Document the design process and communications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Four to six (or more) years of experience in engineering services with progressive responsibilities in project delivery for commercial, residential, and general land development engineering
  • Tennessee PE license, or the ability to obtain one within six months
  • Experience in use of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
  • Effective communication skills

Desired qualifications:

  • Strong technical, proposal writing, communication, and public presentation skills
  • Ability to articulate ideas and concepts
  • Engaged in the professional engineering community
  • Self-initiative, a sense of urgency, and a strong desire to work as a team to grow a small office
  • Willingness and ability to mentor less-experienced engineers and support staff.
