- At least three years of journalism experience.
- Demonstrated expertise with social media and must be comfortable using these platforms to find sources and promote content.
- A thorough understanding of metrics and how to use these to inform coverage decisions.
- Must enjoy collaborating and working with teammates.

- Know how to turn readers into subscribers by telling relevant, shareable stories.
- Employment is contingent on passing a post-offer, pre-employment background check.
Application Instructions:
We are eager to learn more about you and how you fit this role. When you apply, don’t limit your upload to a resume; show us what you’ve done. To do so, put together a single document file that includes the following, in this order:
- Your resume – one to two pages.
- A cover letter that outlines how you would approach the job.
- Examples of at least five stories you’re proud of. Try to include some that you turned quickly and that used alternative story forms.
It is important that these items be assembled into a single document and uploaded in PDF format. Completing these steps will ensure that your application receives the highest consideration.
The hourly rate for this role will range between $20.20 and $28.85. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
