Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, serves as the key liaison and coordinator for the implementation, maintenance and support of the clinical information systems installed at Tennova Healthcare. The Nurse Informaticist will ensure that technology is used appropriately; established technical and quality standards are followed.

Education / License / Certification

• Currently licensed in the state of TN or compact state as a Registered Nurse in good standing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

Experience / Skills:

• Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience; two years of experience in computer based nursing systems with ability to grasp technical information and apply clinical knowledge;
• Additional education/experience in information services; strong computer skills
• Project management experience
• Possess knowledge and experience with Clinical Information System implementation, automated data systems; personal computing skills, hospital information system database analysis and display
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Must be able to work with little supervision
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills to analyze, develop and document system and interface design and requirements
