Phlebotomists perform aseptic venipuncture procedures, including collection of blood samples, blood cultures and clerical duties of the department; responsible for recognizing problems that require referral to Section Leaders or Medical Technologist. The Phlebotomist promotes good public relations for the department and Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Education / License / Certification:

• Phlebotomy Certification preferred
• Mathematical, verbal, and written skills at the high school level

Experience / Skills:

• Experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital setting preferred
• Excellent customer relation skills
• Attention to detail and concentration
• Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment
