The Cardiac Rehabilitation Supervisor (RN Team Leader) has responsibility and authority for the ongoing successful and safe operation of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. He/she acts as a leader and role model for staff members, and assumes accountability with Director in maintaining quality patient care as required by departmental standards and JCAHO. The Supervisor promotes good public relations for the department and Tennova Healthcare while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Education / License / Certification:

• Current licensed in the state of Tennessee or compact state as a Registered Nurse and in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in an Allied Health field such as Exercise Physiology of Exercise Physiologist or Registered Nurse.
• American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification preferred
• BLS Certification required (must be obtained by the end of the month after 90 days of hire or placement)
• ACLS Certification required (must be obtained by the end of the month after 90 days of hire or placement)

Experience / Skills:

• One year experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation required
• Certification as applicable for an exercise specialist by American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) or a Registered Nurse through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• Knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, risk-factor modification strategies and educationprograms as applied to cardiovascular rehabilitation.
• Attention to detail and concentration
• Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment
