Requirements:

• • Previous experience with hospital equipment and/or Sterile Processing/Surgical environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current Central Sterile certification by CBSPD as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Tech or IAHSMM as a Certified Registered Central Sterile Tech required
  • Must be able to respond mentally, physically and appropriately to emergency situation
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, every changing, stressful environment

About the Job:

The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembling and sterilization of surgical instruments. The Sterile Processing Tech oversees the sterilization procedure and testing for each piece of sterilization equipment in Sterile Processing and in the Surgery Department.
