The Laboratory Supervisor must promote good public relations for the department and Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality. The Laboratory Supervisor applies and implements the philosophy, goals and objectives of Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville. Responsible for Phlebotomy department to include: supervising, scheduling, personnel onboarding and training, evaluations, assist in interviews for potential candidates. In addition, the Supervisor role will oversee Point of Care to include: planning and coordinating all the functions for Point of Care, testing, training, maintaining supplies and relating with other sections within the laboratory and the nursing units. The Laboratory Supervisor ensures that services are of the best quality and are carried out in the appropriate manner; responsible for recognizing results or problems that require referral to the Laboratory Director or Pathologists. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served: Neonate, Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.

REQUIRED:

• Licensed/eligible for license in the State of Tennessee as a Medical Laboratory Supervisor (license or permit must be obtained within orientation period)
• Board registered as a medical technologist with one of the National Registries associated with laboratory practice
• Three years working experience as a Medical Technologist.
