The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for the care of all patients and the performance of orderable exams in the Nuclear Medicine Department.  They will also be responsible for the ordering, handling, disposition, storage, and disposal of all radioactive materials in accordance with regulations set forth by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the State of Tennessee. Responsible for the regulatory and manufacturer recommend quality control checks on all imaging calibration survey and dosimeter equipment within the Nuclear Medicine Department. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist must promote good public relations for the department and Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist applies and implements the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.

Experience / Skills:

  • Two years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred

Licenses/Certificates:

  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with the advanced registry in Nuclear Medicine or The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • BLS required
