| POSITION: Plant Manager REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS JOB SUMMARY: The Plant Manager oversees the daily operations of a production facility, ensuring efficient and profitable manufacturing processes while maintaining safety and quality protocols. This role involves managing staff, coordinating production requirements, cost control and implementing various strategies to both optimize plant performance and meet customer expectations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: · Ensuring a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and complying with all relevant regulations and standards. · Implementing and enforcing quality standards to ensure products meet customer and industry standards as well as company requirements. · Maintain professional and cooperative relationships with all facility/functional managers to ensure that company policies, procedures and expectations are administered and followed firmly, fairly and consistently. · Establishing production schedules, monitoring processes and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and effectively. · Assist with hiring, training and supervising production staff and supervisors. Foster a positive and productive work environment. · Maintain a well trained and adequately staffed manufacturing department. · Develop and implement strategies to control costs, manage budgets and maximize profitability. · Overseeing the maintenance of plant equipment and property to ensure smooth and efficient operations. · Perform other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively and resolve conflicts. · Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and technology relevant to the specific industry. · Ability to identify problems, analyze data and make sound decisions to improve efficiency and resolve issues. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, management and other stakeholders. · Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION: · Minimum of five (5) years of PVC pipe management experience. · Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, coupled with relevant experience in manufacturing environments. | ||
