The Team Lead is to assist the Maintenance Manager to ensure the smooth efficient operation of the Maintenance Department as a whole. They must be able to perform all tasks normally assigned to the Manager in his/her absence. Team Lead is to wear the proper PPE for protection against safety hazards. Responsible for environmental compliance regarding oils, solvents, and other hazardous materials. The Maintenance Manager is to be informed of any issues requiring attention. Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes Reports To: Maintenance Manager Duties/Responsibilities: - Have tools needed to perform assigned task.
- Ensure all personnel and equipment are working safely and efficiently at all times.
- Have a good understanding of the company handbook, policies, and procedures.
- Fill in for maintenance manager when they are out of the office.
- Any other duties assigned by your manager.
Required Skills/Abilities: - Extensive knowledge of electrical systems used on equipment such as extruders, bellers and saws.
- Be able to build custom control panels from scratch for newly purchased machinery, safety equipment, lighting, etc.
- Ability to modify and/or write small PLC Programs or Relay Logic Programs.
- Be able to direct and utilize employees according to their individual skill sets to achieve the most production from each individual.
- Be able to prioritize problems to best suit the needs of the plant operation to keep production at a high level.
Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or GED
- Four years of industrial mechanical and electrical experience, or college electives in industrial mechanical and electrical courses.
Physical Requirements: - Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Assistance is required when lifting anything over 50 lbs.
- Must have no fear of heights and ability to climb ladders.
