Communications & Marketing Specialist TN Location

Job Summary:

The Communications and Marketing Specialist designs; develops; and implements strategies to inform, engage and align employees with Company values and goals along with promoting the Company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers. They also measure the effectiveness of communication and marketing efforts and adjust these strategies accordingly.

Job Responsibilities:

Developing and executing communication strategies. This includes both internal communications such newsletters and intranet updates and external communications such as press releases, social media content and company website.

Collaborate with executive and sales representatives to fully understand the product mix and services to develop various web-based marketing needs for the company.

Work closely with Human Resources and other departments to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with Company-wide initiatives and values.

Gather and research various data necessary to understand the marketing needs of each plant location to strategize and develop the most effective public relations and community involvement initiatives aimed at increasing the company brand and its goal of becoming the employer of choice.

Presents media and communication design ideas and recommendations to the company’s executive team.

Develop, maintain and update the company website.

Monitor social media and website reviews.

Coordinate employee recognition programs.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in writing, editing and proofreading is essential.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Ability to manage and create content for social media platforms.

In office position (Clarksville, TN) location 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field.

Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

May be required to travel to other locations.
