Sanderson Pipe's corporate office is located in Tennessee (Clarksville), with additional production facilities in Kansas (Pittsburg), Texas (Houston), and Florida (Sanderson). Sanderson Pipe supplies PVC pipe to wholesalers for the Southeast and Midwest markets.
Description

Summary:

The Blend Operator works with a Blend Lead to run the operation for the assigned shift in line the production requirements and direction from the Blend Supervisor and Plant Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Works under the supervision of a Blend Lead on the assigned shift and organizes maintains the production requirements in a safe, efficient manner.

Reports To: BLEND SUPERVISOR

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Forklift
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read and write
  • Follow specific instructions
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Identify different types of blend formulation and compounds
  • Operate all equipment located at the Blend Department
  • Must be able to manage time efficiently
  • Complete all required paperwork
  • Wear a respirator
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions
  • Identify all minor ingredients by package
  • Comply and ensure all safety and company policies and procedures are followed
  • Must be able to climb approximately 60 feet to the top of the silos by using the ladders on the side of silo
  • Must be able to climb to the top of railcars approximately 20 feet high
  • Must be able to lift upto 50 pounds.
  • Any other duties assigned by your supervisor
Position Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work under the direction of Blend Lead to safety and effectively run the assigned shift.
  • Ability to work independently and apply good judgement in making any changes required during an assigned shift.
  • Ability to operate all Blend Department equipment, scales and tools.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related industrial work experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in noisy environment and focus on work activities safely.
  • Must be able to perform medium physical work that includes moving objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in low and high temperature environments occasionally.
