About the Organization Sanderson Pipe Corporation manufacturers plumbing, irrigation and waterworks PVC pipe in diameters ½'' to 24''. Sanderson Pipe's corporate office is located in Tennessee (Clarksville), with additional production facilities in Kansas (Pittsburg), Texas (Houston), and Florida (Sanderson). Sanderson Pipe supplies PVC pipe to wholesalers for the Southeast and Midwest markets.
Description

Summary

The position of Team Leader requires the employee to be around moving machinery and oversee operation that produces PVC pipe as well as monitor all aspects of the shift.

Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Comply and ensure that all personnel follow and practice all safety and company policies
  • Assist with product changes to ensure sales needs are met
  • Daily production and scrap reporting as well as accuracy and completion of those reports
  • Monitor scrap and overweight on all production lines and adjust as needed
  • Continually inspect pipe for cosmetic and functionality defects
  • Assist in training and mentoring of all employees
  • Maintain confidentiality as required by company handbook
  • Communicate effectively with Production Manager and shift employees
  • Complete daily production paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Conducting monthly shift meetings.
  • Monitor QC sheets are accurate and up-to-date.
Position Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Excellent leadership skills (2 years’ experience)
  • Good communication & writing skills
  • Manufacturing and Fork Lift experience preferred
  • Basic computer skill
