About the Organization Sanderson Pipe Corporation manufacturers plumbing, irrigation and waterworks PVC pipe in diameters ½'' to 24''. Sanderson Pipe's corporate office is located in Tennessee (Clarksville), with additional production facilities in Kansas (Pittsburg), Texas (Houston), and Florida (Sanderson). Sanderson Pipe supplies PVC pipe to wholesalers for the Southeast and Midwest markets.   Description

Knowledge of computer software, hardware and firmware relative to servers, company computers, local area network/wide area network environments.

Knowledge of VMware vSphere and Horizon infrastructure, vital servers and machines.

  • Serve as first point of contact for IT support within the organization
  • Skilled at installing and providing technical support for software applications and operating systems.
  • Skilled at installing and testing computer hardware.
  • Ability to perform network backups and coordinate disaster recovery efforts.
  • Ability to plan, organize and track projects.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues and repair or replace damaged computer and network components.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, along with the ability to remain flexible.
  • Ability to read, understand and comply with the department’s policies, procedures, guidelines and practices relating to network and security standards.
  • Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation for supported systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support employees whenever they encounter issues with computers and network devices
  • Maintaining and update computer and network equipment in order to track warranty, upgrades and replacement devices
  • Help ensure all applicable employees are issued the correct and/or standard computer equipment in a timely manner
  • Basic knowledge of phone systems.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned
  Position Requirements

Other Job-Related Requirements:

This position will be subject to periodic On-Call responsibilities as part of a team in order to address emergency situations or other unscheduled I.T. activities as needed. The incumbent

in this position may also at times be required to adjust their normal work schedule in order to work weekends, evening shifts or holidays to complete projects and other assignments. During On-Call periods, the incumbent will be required to carry a cell phone.

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

  • Two (2) or Four (4) year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in an I.T. role providing network support including installation, maintenance and/or support of network hardware, software, virtual servers, backups and MS Active Directory.
  • One (1) or more certifications from a network training program such as CCNA/CCDP, MCSDE/MCSA, MCP-Network, Network +.
