Sanderson Pipe's corporate office is located in Tennessee (Clarksville), with additional production facilities in Kansas (Pittsburg), Texas (Houston), and Florida (Sanderson). Sanderson Pipe Corporation is seeking an experienced, and ambitious Rockstar for our Accounts Payable Specialist position at the Clarksville, TN corporate office. This position reports to the Controller. The successful candidate is responsible for accounts payable functions for Florida and Tennessee facilities. Duties include daily accounts payable related activities, assisting with answering phones and backup for other accounting staff, as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Three way matching of invoice, receipt and PO
• Verify price quotes against the invoice
• Enter batches into AP module in Great Plains
• Send out payments each week; check and electronic
• Cut checks for Florida and Clarksville facilities primarily
• Prepare positive pay file for upload to bank
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Prepare deposits for the bank
• Process annual 1099’s
• Comply with and follow all safety policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by the controller

  Position Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Detail oriented and organized
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Preform work with speed and accuracy
• Knowledge of relevant computer applications
• Basic computer skills, including ability to learn Great Plains Software
• Five (5) years accounts payable experience

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associates Degree in Accounting (preferred but not required)
