Responsible for:

As a Network Administrator, you'll be responsible for maintaining and administering computer networks and related environments. You'll provide hands-on and remote help-desk support, troubleshoot network issues, and perform upgrades and installations as needed. Collaboration with IT teams ensures seamless software and system operation, aligning with business objectives. Your technical expertise will shine as you document network infrastructure, and ensure security compliance. The candidate will serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day end user issues, work with the IT group on larger scale projects within the company, and serve as a point of contact for technical issues that happen outside of standard business hours. Network Admin will also be performing Desktop Support duties.

Essential Position Functions and Duties:

Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.

IT Technician responsibilities include being the primary point of contact for IT support within the company.

Manage the organization’s enterprise networks, including LAN, WAN, and Wireless networks.

Provide technical support to end-users and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Document network infrastructure and keep network diagrams up to date.

Ensure network security and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Configure and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and other networking hardware.

Utilize monitoring tools to assess network performance, identify bottlenecks, loops, and optimize traffic flow.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or professional certifications.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Related work experience as a System or Network Administrator.

Proficiency in managing and configuring network hardware and software, including switches, routers and firewalls.

Proficiency in Windows networks, Active Directory, and layer 2 networking VLAN, and trunking.

Thorough understanding of networking protocols, LAN networking, and WAN networking.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:

Experience working with SonicWall and Ubiquiti network devices.

Hyper-V Manager, Synology, VEEAM experience preferred.
