Job Purpose: The Clinical Lead will be responsible for assisting supervisor(s) with coordinating, supervising and training of assigned staff and daily site operations. These responsibilities are in addition to primary responsibilities outlined in current job description.
Essential Functions: (Examples of Duties)
- Responsible for scheduling and staffing of employees to include vacation and sick time.
- Serve as contact person for assigned employees when they will not be available to work assigned schedules.
- Assist supervisor with payroll reporting of staff, approving time sheets.
- Assist supervisor with ordering of supplies and auditing packing slips to include Occ Med supplies and vaccines.
- Responsible for verbal coaching and counseling of employees and reporting these incidents to the supervisor.
- Responsible for training and orientating of assigned staff.
- Responsible for technical assessment of assigned employees and providing input on employee evaluations.
- Serve as the first line of authority and advice for questions, trouble-shooting and workflow issues.
- Responsible for recommendation of work assignments and work flow processes in
assigned area. - Assist with facilitating any patient relations or provider issues.
- Assist with inventory, availability and performance of equipment required for ckinic work flow.
- Gives input on employee evaluations and interviews.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Performs Breath Alcohol tests.
- Complete and manage Workers Comp referrals as needed.
- Ability to input and navigate DOT national registry.
- Has familiarity with the paperwork for Immigration and DOT pre-employment physicals.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements/Qualifications: (Describe minimum qualifications, preferred or required)
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program or Medical Assisting Degree/Diploma
Experience: One year work experience in healthcare environment preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of standard operating procedures for clinic operation. Knowledge of safety practices and hazardous conditions to provide a safe work environment. Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision. Ability to work effectively with external agencies, patients and staff. Ability to train and motivate employees. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Licenses/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Medical Assisting Degree or Diploma from accredited Allied Health Professional Education Institution or valid Nursing License in the state of TN, if applicable. CPR certification.
Working Conditions: Exposure to communicable, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Occasional evening or weekends are necessary.
Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. May be required to help lift/transfer patient. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
