Job Purpose: Responsible for daily operations of the clinic

Essential Functions: (Examples of Duties)

  1. Manages daily operations of the clinic and coordinates the work activity and schedules of site staff.
  2. Administers Premier’s policies and procedures in a consistent and timely manner.
  3. Works with Administration in preparing budget and ensures clinic operations and relations are effective.
  4. Hires, trains and supervises staff assigned to clinics.
  5. Completes 30 day and 90 orientation checklists and submits to HR.
  6. Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions of employees.
  7. Ensures the office space, supplies and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for staff and patient care.
  8. Monitors appointment, patient flow, and electronic medical record and practice management systems.
  9. Identifies and resolves operational problems.
  10. Ensures site compliance to OSHA and CLIA guidelines.
  11. Maintains clinic payroll records. Monitors staff hours and overtime.
  12. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
  13. Participates in professional development activities to keep current with health care trends and practices.
  14. Creates and manages physician/provider schedules. Obtains coverage when needed.
  15. Maintains patient confidentiality.
  16. Performs related work as assigned.
  17. Company Meetings – (mandatory to company).
  18. Pricing (fee schedules).
  19. Billing for after hours direct costs and other department service lines as necessary.
  20. DS and BAT trainer for new employees. Lead trainer for all OCC testing.

Qualifications

Job Requirements/Qualifications: (Describe minimum qualifications, preferred or required)

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor degree in Management or related field preferred.

Experience: Three years of physician clinic management experience.

Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of organization policies and procedures. Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques. Knowledge of computer systems and applications. Skill in gathering, analyzing and interpreting information. Skill in written and verbal communication. Ability to apply policies and principles to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving and decision making. Ability to work effectively with patients, staff and the public. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions. Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.

Licenses/Certifications: None

Working Conditions: Normal medical office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.

Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
