Job Purpose: Responsible for assisting supervisor(s)/manager with coordinating, supervising and training of assigned staff and daily site operations. These responsibilities are in addition to primary responsibilities outlined in current job description.

Essential Functions: (Examples of Duties)

  1. Responsible for scheduling and staffing of employees to include vacation and sick time.
  2. Serve as contact person for assigned employees when they will not be available to work assigned schedules.
  3. Responsible for payroll reporting for assigned staff.
  4. Responsible for ordering supplies.
  5. Responsible for matching packing slips to invoices for items in their area and give to supervisor for approval.
  6. Responsible for verbal coaching of employees and reporting these incidents to the supervisor.
  7. Responsible for training and orientating assigned staff.
  8. Responsible for maintaining accurate accounting of all cash drawers and submitted deposits for assigned staff.
  9. Responsible for technical assessment of assigned employees and providing input on employee evaluations.
  10. Serve as the first line of authority and advice for questions, trouble-shooting and workflow issues.
  11. Responsible for recommendation of work assignments and work flow processes in assigned area.
  12. Assist with facilitating any patient relations or provider issues.
  13. Responsible for inventory, availability and performance of equipment required for clinic work flow.
  14. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
  15. Maintains confidentiality.
  16. Performs related work as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements/Qualifications: (Describe minimum qualifications, preferred or required)

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: One year of work experience in healthcare environment preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of standard operating procedures for clinic operation. Knowledge of safety practices and hazardous conditions to provide a safe work environment. Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision. Ability to work effectively with external agencies, patients and staff. Ability to train and motivate employees. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Licenses/Certifications: None

Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment. Contact with staff, patients and outside agencies. Occasional evening or weekend work.

Physical Demands: Requires frequent sitting, standing for prolonged periods. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record and prepare reports and communicate appropriately.
