Key Account Manager works to improve MCC’s market position and achieve financial growth. This position defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, negotiates, and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. He/She is responsible for meeting budget expectations and delivering YOY growth exceeding the market growth rates. Key Account Manager focuses on three main areas: Account Development, Client Retention, and Account Planning. This role is highly collaborative as it requires interaction with mid and senior level management, marketing, and technical staff.
Responsibilities:
Account Development:
- Work with team to develop proposals that address client needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Develop new business contacts (building the company's image and customer relations).
- Participate in pricing the solution / service, preparation and presentation of price offers, negotiations of cooperation terms within the adopted principles
- Implement new projects in close cooperation with the technology department and the graphics department.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
Client Retention:
- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
- Work with technical staff, analytics group, marketing, and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
- Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Account Planning:
- Track market label development and changes, search for potential customers and monitori competitors' activities.
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Present to and consult with management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Administrative:
- Submit progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
- Enter and manage data accurately within the company’s CRM or other sales management systems.
- Forecast and meet sales targets, prepare and co-create and implement established sales plans in terms of sales volume and profitability.
- Track and record activity on accounts.
Qualifications:
- several years of experience in B2B sales, make to order (packaging industry) documented with appropriate results, with particular emphasis on flexo and digital printing
- 'B' category driving license required
- knowledge of English language at a level enabling business communication
- communication and negotiation skills (building win-win situations with clients)
- ease of establishing contacts
- communication skills and independence
- ability to quickly adapt to new situations
- understanding the dynamics and requirements of the customer / packaging market
- analytical skills (assessment of sales levels, profitability, etc.)
