Introduction

Supreme Labor division is looking for an accounting/payroll clerk to join our team in our Clarksville, TN office. This person will work to support the daily operations of the accounting department to include working closely with the Accounting Administrators to determine priority of tasks and ensure proper procedures are being followed.

The ideal candidate is a high-energy individual with excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications.

THE OPPORTUNITY: Accounting Clerk

  • Responsibilities:
  • Invoicing - Entering invoices, receiving payments and processing bank deposits, onboarding temp labor staff in Quickbooks.
  • Payroll assistance - Compute hours on timesheets, create database sheets, process payroll.
  • Field inbound communications - Answer phone calls/general email inquiries and route to the appropriate internal parties as needed.
  • Organize internal resources - Build out and maintain processes to keep files and office supplies organized and easily accessible.
  • General - Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic accounting/payroll procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidentiality
  • Experience working in property management and/or leasing is preferred
  • Understanding of business operations
  • 1 year of experience working in accounting; knowledge and experience with Quickbooks preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills; must be thorough in all work duties
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, high-energy attitude
  • Resourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving skill set; must be able to multitask
  • Familiarity with office equipment (i.e. computers, printers, fax machines, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (G-Suite) preferred

Compensation: $32,760 - $37,400

Other Requirements.

  • Must have reliable transportation to work site.
  • Must have valid Drivers License.
  • One year of accounting/payroll experience preferred.
