Position Description

The Quality Technician will play a valuable part in ensuring product is ready and free of defects before shipping to our customer. The candidate will need to be comfortable in a high paced environment and be able to multitask while still being able to produce high quality work. The role of the Quality Technician is to minimize the number of defective parts that are sent downstream and assist production in maintaining and improving overall part quality. This will yield the best results and top efficiency for Microvast and its customers and help to establish a reputation of top quality.

Job Responsibilities

•    Approve or reject raw materials with respect to Quality Standards and Record Supplier Performance.
•    Maintain records of testing information and various metrics and prepare and submit reports to the QA Supervisor
•    Evaluate, test and sample parts at the start, middle and end of production lines. This will include incoming materials as well.
•    Inform Production to properly dispose bad parts and inform if any repairs are required.
•    Document and Communicate to the Quality Technologist and Production any defected parts that has been identified.
•    Escalate concerns to the Quality Technologist that are not being properly resolved in your area.
•    Able to comprehend current Quality and Production standards and determine if they are meeting those standards.
•    Communicate emerging and trending quality issues to the Quality Technologist to prevent negative impact to the factory.
•    Construct and maintain strong relationships with members of all nearby teams.
•    Visually detect defects in a fast-paced environment.
•    Use a multisensory approach for defect detection.
•    Perform daily detailed record keeping and reporting of quality issues.
 

Qualifications


•    HS diploma/GED
•    2+ years in a manufacturing or quality position.
•    Experience with in an Automotive or EV battery manufacturing environment preferred.
•    Ability to understand technical reports.
•    Experience with MS software (excel & power point) preferred.
•    Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance & etc. concerning requests and needs for the QA lab and QC inspection work.
•    Experience with measurement and inspection tools (callipers, micrometres, scales, rulers, etc.) preferred.
•    Clear verbal, written, and presentation skills.
•    Detail oriented and able to perform precise inspections on every product along the inspection line.
•    Experience in a fast-paced environment requiring critical thought and analytical skills preferred.
•    Ability to work in a team-based environment and help with achieving common goals.
