Position Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for and be viewed as the subject matter expert for the charge / discharge cycle of our ESS. You will need to trouble shoot issues as they arise and communicate with the manufacturing team about issues you find. To accomplish this, you will use statistical analysis and formal problem solving to identify patterns and help the manufacturing team determine root causes.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Review equipment design to ensure they meet or exceed Microvast requirements related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Throughput, Maintainability and Reliability.
  • Coordinate personnel, both local and from equipment providers, during the installation, commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing phases of the project.
  • Upon completion and acceptance of the equipment you will continue to support resolving ongoing issues on a daily basis.
  • Communicate issues with the Clarksville Manufacturing Team
  • Root cause analysis of scrap leaders
  • Establish process to charge and discharge Electric Storage System
  • Establish safety procedure handle charged batteries.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level. 
  • Professional Certification – Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Project Management Professional 
  • A minimum of 5 years overall related engineering experience within a Manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient with Manufacturing software – AutoCAD, Microsoft Applications – MS-Project, MS-Power BI, MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Technical Acumen, Problem Solving, Project Management, Communication, and Dealing with Ambiguity are key skills and attributes that an individual must demonstrate to be successful in this role.
  • Experience in a high-volume automated assembly with tight tolerance requirements is desired.
