Position Description
Responsible to support technical discussions with customers and coordinate product/system development between multiple departments within Microvast globally.
Job Responsibilities
- Management of customer product requirements (RFI/RFQ)
- RFQ response generation with the support of core engineering team
- Preparing technical proposals for customers based on Microvast’s standard product or necessary design modifications to the standard product
- Battery system layout – electrical and mechanical
- Preparing battery system technical requirement documents for customers
- Management of BOM for battery pack and system (cells/modules PN/pack subcomponents/strings/etc.)
- Generate 2D drawings (with the support of core engineering team)
- Generate exploded views and 3D assembly process documentation for battery pack/systems (with the support of core engineering team)
- Ensure and verify clearances to external hard interfaces that address battery safety, assemble ability, and service processes
- Management of project applications with customers, working alongside a program management team to ensure customer’s timing, cost, quality and performance are met
- Support customer service team for equipment commissioning on test benches/vehicles
- Support battery certification for specific customer battery pack/systems
- PLM – product lifetime management
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in system engineering. Minimum knowledge of the general technologies of vehicles (performances, powertrain architectures, thermal management, electronics ECU, safety, etc.)
- Knowledge or background in automotive/transportation industry and processes (HV battery experience preferred)
- Minimum ability and/or experience to generate D-FMEA and fault tree analysis, knowledge in electronics (HW & SW) and general diagnostics
- Knowledge in and ability to use CAN tools (i.e., CANalyzer, CANoe). Understanding CAN and automotive diagnostic protocols
- Familiarity with electric vehicle standards and regulations, specifically battery related standards (ISO, SAE, GBT, etc.). Know test standards to ensure pack integrity (vibrations, thermal propagation, crash, safety, etc.)
- Strong reactive and proactive problem-solving skills (root cause analysis). Capability in using data processing tools (i.e., Matlab, Simulink, etc.)
- Strong (preferred fluent) in speaking and writing in English. Chinese language is an advantage.
