Position Description

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for being the expert in diagnosing, repair, and customer support for Microvast. They will be the face of Microvast to our customers and partners after the sale and for the life of the system. They will directly work with customers and partners from OEMs to end users to resolve issues, provide technical training, warranty management, and spare parts management both onsite and at our facilities. They will work directly with our quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams to continuously drive improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reports to Director Customer Service Americas
  • Directly support customers both remotely and onsite at their locations
  • Develop/implement service and diagnostic procedures
  • Develop/Lead/Teach technical training program
  • Lead internal and external technicians through diagnostics remotely and on-site
  • Report quality issues and ‘lessons Learned’ to drive continuous improvement
  • Assist engineering with root cause analysis
  • Provide warranty claim validation, reviewing, and processing
  • Maintain detailed paperwork and documentation for repairs and assigned tasks
  • Onboarding/training a team as required to maintain quality of support
  • Liaison with Global customer service teams
  • Work remotely with little/no direct supervision

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field preferred
    • 0-3 years hands-on/technical experience with 4-year degree
    • 5+ years’ experience in diagnostics/EV’s/Hybrids/related field with 2-year degree
  • Strong planning, organizational, communication and writing skills
  • Strong knowledge of computers, MS office, and electronics
  • High voltage, Electric Vehicle, CAN, PCAN experience beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and be held accountable for committed actions
  • Familiar with occupational safety regulations for performing work on and around high voltage
  • Must be open to travel, occasionally on short notice up to 40-60%
