Position Description

The Senior Financial Manager leads, directs, develops, and administers the financial activities carried out in Clarksville, TN reporting directly to the Director of Finance.

This individual must be intelligent, personable, dynamic, and innovative with exceptional analytical skills, and one who deploys an energetic day to day “roll up your sleeves” attitude.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages all daily financial activities and functions of the Finance Department at the Clarksville facility. Ensure all financial operations follows group policies and procedures, and in compliance with audit best practice and audit compliance such as Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities for the Plant and working with external component and lead Auditors in the US.
  • Prepare budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data. Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Works with Operations Team to provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Control, monitor, and report on inventory valuation, standard cost, and production variances; Analyze product costs and variances associated with purchased and manufactured goods; and prepare analysis of variances against budgets and financial models.
  • Ongoing optimization of SAP and Adaptive planning software,and ensuring all finance employees at Clarksville are skilled users of this software.
  • Ensure accurate costs standards are established and variances properly recorded.
  • Reviews and updates product cost, analyzes variances; calculates, monitors, and updates labor and overhead rates for product costing.
  • Responsible for defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and resolving complex problems in a timely manner.
  • Reviews vendor invoices for all materials, goods and services concerning Clarksville and checking against budget.
  • Performs other related duties as requested by the CFO or Director of Finance.

Qualifications

  • Exhibits exceptional standards of business and personal ethical conduct.
  • CPA qualification or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. Manufacturing experience with knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Multiple years' experience working with third party auditors.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, continuously evolving environment.
  • Exceptional management skills, including delegation, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, human relations, and diplomacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
