Position Description

As an International Logistics Coordinator at Microvast, you will be a key member of the Global Logistics team and provide daily insights that drive excellence in the supply chain movements from raw materials to finished goods. You will be responsible for continuously assessing and optimizing logistics processes, assets, and services in order to meet Microvast’s operational goals. Your efforts will contribute to the reliable and predictable delivery of freight into the distribution network and ensure speed, cost, and service enhancements for our company and customer. You will report to the Director of Supply Chain in Clarksville.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with customs brokers and freight forwarders on inbound shipments, providing necessary documentation and details needed to clear shipments.
• Manage and distribute all inbound communications with the global trade compliance team.
• Monitor and manage international shipments and drayage/delivery via Ocean, Air, Truckload, and LTL including proactively communicating with vendors and carriers to track shipments and maintain delivery dates.
• Review or create all documentation required for transport. (Packing lists, commercial invoices, B/L, etc.).
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies and problems that can be found related to the transportation/logistics system.
• Develop performance metrics to evaluate the operating performance of external supply chain partners.
• Review and audit carrier invoices.
• Utilize SAP and other supporting computer software programs to prepare and present data required to support the operation as necessary.
• Develop a thorough understanding of hazardous materials transportation compliance as related to ground, international air, and international vessel.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Global Trade compliance policy, international commercial terms (INCO) and freight billing terminology.
• Develop, recommend, and implement new processes/enhancements to facilitate greater efficiencies within the department; create continuous improvement initiatives for greater efficiency and cost savings.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all vendors and carriers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Analytics (preferred).
• Current US Customs Brokers License preferred but not required.
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. Customs documentation and regulations.
• Working knowledge of rules and regulations of the other government agencies (i.e.: DOT, FCC, IATA, etc.).
• The ability to respectfully integrate and communicate with U.S. Customs officials.
• The ability to deal and negotiate with senior customs officials.
• 5+ years' experience in logistics management.
• Computer-savvy with extensive experience in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-motivated and driven; ability to keep pace in a fast and deadline-oriented working environment.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and operational planning skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong (preferred fluent) in speaking and writing in English. Chinese language is an advantage.
