Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Clarksville, TN
Shift: 12 hrs Crewing Shift 7pm-7am (Thu - Sat & Alt. Wed)
If you are a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Jostens has a great job opportunity for you! Come join our team of maintenance technicians in our state-of-the-art facility in Clarksville, TN! This position is ideal for a well experienced industrial maintenance mechanic/technician. Areas of responsibility include maintenance and repair of Printing production machinery and physical plant equipment. Provides a wide variety of Maintenance support requiring generalized and specific knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, machined parts, pneumatic, and other systems. Reads schematics and diagnoses equipment malfunctions. Repairs and / or orders parts to replace failed components. Provides detailed systems analysis, using blueprints, schematics, testing gauges and other equipment to isolate and identify cause(s) of malfunctions. Crafts parts, compressed air, hydraulic, electrical and machined metal parts with on-site equipment.

Provides detailed descriptions, dimensions, and specifications for outsourced parts and systems. Coordinates repairs with external vendors and work performed by others through Maintenance Contracts. Assists with the installation of production equipment to insure proper infrastructure and support systems. Trains others in proper preventive maintenance IAW manufacturer specifications. Works independently and as part of a team to minimize equipment down time and install/move equipment as scheduled.

Provides maintenance and support solutions to building modifications. Ensures that all work is done according to laws, rules and regulations governing external power systems, environments and safety. Works regularly scheduled shifts and is periodically on-call for emergency services. Prioritizes work according to safety, production and project plans. Keeps updated on new technologies, repair equipment and governmental regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
  • Two year degree or diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical, Machinist, Metal Fabrication and/or similar degrees from Technical or Trade School preferred.
  • 4 years minimum working experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic required, with stable work history.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery & troubleshooting skills in Mechanical, Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems.
  • Must be able to read Mechanical, Hydraulic & Pneumatic prints.
  • Maintenance experience in a Printing environment is a plus.
  • Must be able to weld; such as Mig, Tig, Arc (stick), Oxy-Acetylene Welding & Brazing.
  • Ability to read measuring devices such as Micrometer, Dial Caliper, Depth Micrometer, Dial indicators, etc.
  • Knowledge of Drilling, Tap and Die (threads), Broaching Keyways, etc.
  • Experience with machine installation and rigging, as well as use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to drive Fork Trucks, Aerial Lifts and Booms safely.
  • Ability to disassemble machines, repair pumps, cylinders, rebuild gearboxes, & clutches.
  • Good experience in Preventive Maintenance.
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, train and support other maintenance mechanics as needed.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice.
  • Works well under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Must have flexibility to learn and use new technology.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must have excellent attendance record.
  • Must be able & willing to work 7pm-7am Thursdays - Saturdays & Alternating Wednesdays.
