SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assigns work, ensuring that work is flowing as planned through Shipping and Receiving, and ensuring that materials are shipped and received in a reasonable time so that production is not hindered. Provide training to new associates and to existing associates on new procedures, equipment and products. This position's primary responsibility will be to coordinate all material to and from the Marsh Warehouse.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist in the timely processing of all outbound material issues, all incoming material receipts, and all types of inventory control transactions used in these processes.
- Resolve data accuracy problems associates with the shipping and receiving process quickly.
- Build relationships with the customers and transportation companies to create a team environment.
- Meet with associate(s) when necessary to coach, counsel, or confront issues.
- Process all inventory transactions in a manner consistent with accounting guidelines and the departmental standards of performance.
- Assist Materials Department in ensuring that materials are accounted for (WTS, DTSLOC, Warehouse).
- Schedule vacations and enter necessary date in the KRONOS system.
- Understand and implement MOS objectives to increase productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years’ experience in material handling or shipping and receiving preferred.
- Knowledge of MRP II concepts, practices, and procedures helpful.
- Good interpersonal skills and must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Minimum 6 month as Line Leader (any department)
