About the Talent Acquisition Coordinator position

We are looking for an entry-level Talent Acquisition Coordinator to perform supportive duties in recruiting and personnel selection, on-boarding, and new hire orientation. Engage with community resources to create new contacts and maintain existing relationships within the region.

Talent Acquisition Coordinator responsibilities are:

  • Screen candidate resumes, applications, and questionnaires to seek best fit talent matches against set specifications for open positions
  • Schedule and conduct job interviews to designate candidates for right hire for a given position
  • Schedule assessments/screenings and support next steps in hiring process (initiate and monitor forward movement of job offer contingencies)
  • Fully support and inform the Talent Acquisition Unit Manager of recruiting status on a regular basis
  • Proactively communicate with and support various department heads regarding staffing needs
  • Uphold customer service excellence for candidates in the pipeline
  • Aid and support online job board recruitment activities and ATS (applicant tracking system)
  • Advocate and maintain the employee referral program
  • Regularly communicate with employment agencies, vendors, community resources, etc. to create and maintain human resources and live networking
  • Identify, support, and participate in local & regional career fairs, job fairs, and community events
  • Assist the Human Resources Team with other related tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

        Talent Acquisition Coordinator requirements are:

          Education:

          • (Required) bachelor's degree
          • (Preferred) human resource management or organizational psychology major or advanced degree in a related field

          Experience:

          • (Preferred) previous relevant experience
          • (Preferred) previous experience in high-volume recruiting in both hourly and staff recruiting in the manufacturing industry

          Language:

          • (Required) good command of written and spoken English

          Skills & Knowledge:

          • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
          • Personnel and Human Resources - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems
          • Law and Government - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process
          • Psychology - Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders
          • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
          • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
          • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
          • Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action

            Physical Demands:

            • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
            • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
            • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
            • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
            • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
