About the Bilingual HR Coordinator position

We are looking for an enthusiastic Coordinator to provide bilingual communication skills and support to the Human Resources Team and Management Support Department activities including but not limited to: training and development, talent management, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, EHS, internal control, proactive culture, and ISO.

The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. He/She will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar using HR software and tools.

Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.

Coordinator responsibilities are:

  • Coordinate communication efforts, including handling external inquiries and supporting internal team communication
  • Provide translation/interpretation support in Korean/English in meetings, interviews, and investigations
  • Maintain and coordinate VISA documents for expatriates, dispatchers, and other employees
  • Support HR, EHS, Internal Control, Proactive Culture, and ISO-related activities
  • Regular communication with expatriates and dispatchers regarding their subsidies, housing, and other needs to ensure comfortable working conditions
  • Orientate expatriates on relocating to a new country, the country’s customs, and other on boarding processes
  • Plan for the arrival of expatriates/dispatchers and inform the staff in the host country of their arrival
  • Ensure that the expatriate and dispatcher programs are aligned with government policies and procedures
  • File documentation correctly and in a timely manner
  • Perform budget transfers, budget accruals, and expense parking
  • Create documents following Hankook’s official approval process
  • Support all aspects of the new hire process and orientation. Coordinate documents, verify for accuracy, and follow-up to ensure data accuracy
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams and Office products including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word at an intermediate level
  • Perform other duties as required

              Coordinator requirements are:

                Education:

                • (Required) High School Diploma or Equivalent required
                • (Preferred) Bachelor's Degree

                Experience:

                • (Required) 3+ years experience as a bilingual assistant OR Bachelor's Degree required
                • (Preferred) Experience in immigration and international diplomacy preferred

                Language:

                • (Required) Fluent in Korean and English (speaking, reading, writing at a business level or above)

                Physical Demands:

                • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
                • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
                • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
                • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
                • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
