About the IT Infrastructure Senior Specialist position

We are looking for a skilled IT Infrastructure Senior Specialist who will oversee the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. Your duties will include supervising the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs.

You should have advanced technical and organizational skills, a proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry’s best practice processes.

IT Infrastructure Senior Specialist responsibilities are:

Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, network equipment, and cloud services
• Ensure high availability and redundancy of critical infrastructure components
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure reliable operations

Vendor and Contract Management:

• Negotiate with IT vendors to determine the terms and conditions of contracts
• Manage relationships with third-party providers and ensure services are delivered as per agreements
• IT Project Management:
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and systems

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect organizational data and systems
• Support and Maintenance:
• Provide advanced support for network, hardware, and software issues.
• Manage IT equipment procurement and inventory, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and properly maintained
• Respond to and resolve escalated support requests from employees

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and policies
• Prepare and present reports on system performance, incidents, and ongoing projects to senior management

IT Infrastructure Senior Specialist requirements are:

Education:

• (Required) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• (Preferred) Information Technology or Management Science major or advanced degree in a related field

Experience:

• (Required) 7-10 years' experience
• (Preferred) Previous experience in the manufacturing industry

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
• Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
• Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
• Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
