About the EHS Technical Writer position

We are looking for a Technical Writer who will ensure technical and legal compliance with all health, and safety laws and regulations.

EHS Technical Writer responsibilities are:

  • Create, develop, and audit all HS-related programs as they pertain to TOSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, and any other local, state, or federal regulations
  • Communicate regularly with the Senior EHS Specialist and provide them with feedback
  • Participate and conduct regular wall-to-wall safety reviews, document findings, develop prioritized action plans, and coordinate with other organizations to rectify timely
  • Regularly review the entire company premise to ensure compliance, identify deficiencies, develop action plans to resolve, and follow up
  • Proactively assess the safety and health risks on site; inspect potential hazards, use problem identification and solving techniques in resolving issues
  • Develop, maintain, and conduct training that aligns with program development
  • Maintain ISO 45001 safety management system
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EHS Technical Writer requirements are:

    Education:

    • (Required) High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
    • (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety/Occupational Safety Engineering related field

    Experience:

    • (Required) 2-3 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance technical writing or a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Health & Safety/Occupational Safety Engineering

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
    • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
    • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
    • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
