JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Engineer position is responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes for improvement using various methods of testing and inspection.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Work with a “Safety Always” mindset through supporting and promoting continuous improvement of safety and health in the workplace
- Perform all duties with a “Quality First” mindset through the improvement of work processes and procedures to eliminate and prevent defects
- Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards
- Serve as the primary quality assurance source to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
- Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
- Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
- Assist in process certification.
- Review customers purchase orders, contracts and charge requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions and included in quality and process plans.
- Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures.
- Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
- Review suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective correction action is implemented.
- May compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Exceptional Communication: Including active speaking/listening, reading/writing skills in accordance with standard business practices and decorum
- Critical Thinking/Troubleshooting: Using logic and reasoning to identify problems as well as the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Details: Must have attention to details for all area for works
- Computer Skills: Advanced MS Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and SharePoint, and statistical analysis tools; ability to learn other systems and programs used by the company
- Ethical Behavior: Must maintain the highest ethical standards in the conduct of company affairs; must conduct business with integrity and comply with all applicable laws in a manner that excludes considerations of personal advantage or gain
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required
- Experience in manufacturing preferred, but not required

- Required to climb, balance, bend, squat, reach, grasp, and hand dexterity. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
