Objective: The Production Planner/Scheduler is responsible for developing and modifying production plans, while ensuring materials and manpower are available, as well as incorporating engineering changes and supporting the Production Management Team.
Essential Functions
- Assist with developing and modifying production plans to ensure continuous production
- Keep track of changes in capacity in the production system, and communicate those changes to all relevant
departments immediately - Build a good rapport with the manufacturing units to facilitate effective communication
- Review production specifications, identify and report plant capacity constraints
- Analyze production demands and develops appropriate plant capacity requirements
- Establish, develop, and coordinate a weekly production schedule that will maximize machine utilization, minimize mold
changes, minimize inventory, and achieve customer satisfaction goals - Consistently updates production schedule and work orders to reflect real-time visibility
- Ensure that materials and equipment are pre-arranged for production
- Order and stock adequate materials to avoid future shortages
- Resolve production, manpower, and material shortage problems quickly in an order of priority
- Monitor production process, workflow, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Evaluate and review production output to provide management with daily analysis and reporting of production
status - Generate production reports to managers for critical decision-making purposes
- Effectively utilize existing Enterprise Resource Planning system to accurately plan production and reflect correct
standards, resources, and work centers - Maintain Advanced Planning System information to optimize schedule and planning.
- Monitors forecast and customer orders for unexpected changes and revises plans as required
- Work with managers to develop potential solutions to improve production performance
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of ERP systems strongly preferred
- Knowledge of SAP strongly preferred
- Bilingual – Korean, preferred

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
