POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Tile Outlet Associate, you will be the face of our outlet showroom, providing a welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable experience for our customers. You’ll support clients—ranging from homeowners to interior designers and contractors—in selecting the right tile solutions for their projects. This role combines retail sales, product education, and showroom maintenance with a focus on customer engagement and long-term relationship building. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Generate and increase retail sales within the outlet store.
• Greet customers, inquire about their projects, and recommend products that fit their design and functional needs.
• Deliver above-and-beyond customer service that exceeds expectations.
• Educate customers on tile products, design applications, and material specifications.
• Assist customers in visualizing tile in their space and estimate material requirements from floor plans.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom.
• Label and replenish showroom displays based on inventory and product availability.
• Understand and explain differences in material grades, including first-grade discontinued, select, and second-grade tiles.
• Prepare order forms, process payments, and coordinate order pickup or shipping.
• Collaborate with team members and management to execute sales strategies and meet goals.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in required training.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in retail sales, customer service, or related field. Experience in interior design or tile/flooring sales is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Comfortable with social media platforms for promotional support.
• Data entry and order processing experience.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50+ lbs safely.
• Strong basic math skills.

• Availability: Must be available to work Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and alternating Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting in a retail and warehouse setting. Candidates must be comfortable working in a moderately active physical environment and capable of lifting and moving tile products. A full physical demands chart is available upon request.
