Position Summary

As a Business Development Representative - Outdoors, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and driving sales of our outdoor landscaping tile products across the following states: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have experience in the landscaping and construction industries, along with a proven track record in sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and industry trends.
  • Analyze competitor activities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the outdoor landscaping sector.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve targets and expand the customer base.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, architects, landscapers, and contractors.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to foster repeat business.

Sales & Negotiation:

  • Actively promote and sell outdoor landscaping tile products, including 2CM Porcelain Pavers.
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with clients to ensure successful transactions.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.

Tracking & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze sales performance, forecasts, and market feedback to refine strategies.
  • Prepare detailed sales and call reports to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.

Professional Development:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the construction or landscaping industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong sales, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% within the assigned territory.
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional evenings or weekends as required for client meetings or events

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Frequent travel within the assigned territory with occasional overnight stays.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and possess some mechanical aptitude.
