Position Summary:

We're seeking a Safety Specialist region to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the organization adheres to federal, state, and local safety regulations. This role involves collecting and monitoring safety data, preparing and submitting reports, and developing and enforcing internal compliance processes. The specialist will conduct safety inspections, provide training to plant personnel, and maintain records of compliance activities.

Competencies:

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local safety regulations, including hazard assessment, HAZCOM, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, and Heat Injury.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30, First Aid, AED use, and Stop the Bleed, or willing to rapidly obtain them.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with regulatory agencies, conducting training sessions, and preparing detailed reports.
  • Organizational Skills: Effective in maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely submission of required documentation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with plant personnel, plant management, and government agencies, fostering a collaborative approach to safety compliance.
  • Training and Development: Competent in developing and delivering training programs on goals, processes, and procedures to plant personnel.
  • Project Management: Skilled in coordinating multiple projects and tasks, ensuring they are completed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Education And Experience:

  • Bachelor degree and 2-3 years related experience or combination of education and experience.
  • Familiar with regulatory issues such as program development, policy, and processes.
  • Occasionally lift up to 45 pounds.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must pass a drug screen and satisfactory background check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 per year (commensurate with experience) + Commission
