The Segment Marketing Analyst will be a critical player on the marketing team, providing insights and recommendations that will shape marketing strategy and planning. This role is specifically focused on the residential home sector, responsible for synthesizing data from market research, customer research, purchase behaviors, and competitor analysis to find opportunities and guide decision-making.

With a focus on translating sophisticated business questions into analysis plans, you will use business intelligence tools to gain a deep understanding of residential home segment needs and program performance. The role requires close partnership with teams such as Marketing Analytics, Customer Insights, Digital Business Development, and Market Demand & Planning to tackle multifaceted business queries and contribute to the company’s strategic marketing initiatives in the home sector.

Location:

This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid out of our Newport News, VA or Corona, CA offices, in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Analytical Insight Generation: Proactively conduct comprehensive customer, market and competitor analysis to derive actionable insights for marketing strategy development in the residential home market.

  • Strategic Planning Support: Translate complex business questions about market opportunities and segment needs into structured analytical and research plans to guide strategic planning efforts.

  • Cross-Functional Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources within the organization to build a comprehensive view of the market and customer segments. Synthesize insights to tell a compelling story which leads to specific actions and longer-term segment strategies.

  • Business Intelligence Analysis: Use BI tools like Power BI or Tableau to perform in-depth analyses around segment behaviors, needs, and program performance metrics.

  • Reporting, Visualization & Data Story Telling: Develop clear and compelling reports and visualizations to communicate analytical findings to collaborators at all levels.

  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work in tandem with Marketing Analytics, Customer Insights, and Market Demand & Planning teams to address more complex business questions and provide well-rounded perspectives.

  • Data-Driven Recommendations: Craft and present data-driven recommendations to marketing leadership, supporting the strategic decision-making process.

  • Trend Monitoring: Keep a pulse on industry trends and market changes to ensure our marketing strategy remains proactive and advised.

  • Performance Metrics Analysis: Regularly assess and report on the performance of marketing programs, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.

  • Hypothesis Testing: Display a proactive and curious approach to hypothesis development, and thoroughly explore these hypotheses through meticulous analysis. Work with Customer Insights, Marketing Analytics, Omni-Channel, and others to follow up on additional research needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics or a related field.

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in a marketing analysis role or related, with a proven record of generating insights that drive strategy.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to parse sophisticated data sets and extract relevant insights.

  • Highly curious and proactive in hypothesis development and exploration, with a self-starter mentality.

  • Excellent communication skills - ability to explain complex analyses and insights in a clear manner to non-technical audiences. Be capable of discerning what is data and what is an insight.

  • Build a compelling story which leads internal partners to targeted actions.

  • Ability to think strategically and understand the broader business implications of analytical findings.

Pay Range:

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$6,000.30 - $9,716.30

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
