We are currently hiring an Internet Merchandiser in eBusiness!

Please Note: This position is 100% remote. Opportunity to work at Ferguson's corporate offices in Newport News, VA if local to Hampton Roads.

This position is responsible for owning select categories in the online channel and working with the product team to develop the online strategy for product categories. We implement day to day merchandising updates across multiple websites within multiple ecommerce systems. Our team focuses on driving sales and margin growth in the channel while supporting the overall eBusiness strategy.


We lead on site promotions as well as optimizing the customer shopping experience in the categories and use creative ideas to drive outstanding shopping experiences across different customer segment groups! The Internet Merchandiser will also assess the competitive landscape around their categories to stay best in class online!

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product Managers and Senior Merchandisers to implement an online strategy to grow sales and margin.
  • Work with key vendors to promote their products.
  • Implement online campaigns and promotions with other teams.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing team to optimize online traffic to your categories.
  • Build category and landing pages on the assigned categories to optimize the customer experience.
  • Analyze customer pathing through the site to the category to find opportunities to increase conversions.
  • Work with vendors and content team to capture all the accurate attributes and images needed to increase sales.
  • Work with the findability team to optimize search and navigation around the categories.
  • Analyze and update cross-sell and up-sell products on the assigned category products.
  • Work within multiple ecommerce systems: CMS, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 1 to 5 years Ecommerce experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Cross functional partnership experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Product knowledge of Ferguson products from a broad range of categories and manufacturers preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills .
  • Strong digital literacy (Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc).
  • Think creatively to seek innovative solutions and new practices.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
