Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a BIM/VDC Manager - Plumbing! This role will be responsible for Mechanical Piping and Duct Trade modeling/coordination workflows, for our customers.

This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Key duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Help design,shape and implement group structure to achieve maximum team efficiency
  • Help design, shape and implement standards, BIM processes and procedures
  • Train, mentor, and develop drafting team with general drafting skills and BIM capabilities
  • Work with internal departments to understand current processes, advise, and assist in implementing VDC/BIM processes
  • QA/QC to minimize rework and revisions
  • Facilitate ongoing collaboration among drafting personnel including the sharing of standard processes and lessons learned
  • Coordinate with Customers on job set-up and standard processes for collaboration
  • Proficient in Revit and Navisworks
  • Monitors work in progress and reviews completed work to ensure compliance with department standards and ensures a high standard of drawing quality
  • Reviews overall schedules, including BIM logs, with department manager, project managers, shop supervision, and field supervision
  • Development and Enforcement of the Ferguson VDC Program- including planning support, organizational leadership, business development and innovation.
  • Maintain an accurate and current database of VDC implementation costs, and track resources accordingly for each project within the Division.
  • Participate in speaking opportunities within the industry
  • Participate in the modeling of projects, as required

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience in virtual design in construction field or within Trades is required
  • Previous group management experience preferred
  • A degree in engineering, construction science, architecture, or similar field is preferred
  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to discuss projects with customers and facilitate open communications
  • Proficiency with Revit and other Autodesk software. General knowledge of other BIM software packages
  • High degree of integrity, good attention to detail and ability to think critically
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Good time management and organizational skills are essential
  • Familiarity with standard processes for BIM collaboration
  • Experience with a Construction General Contractor a plus
  • Understands construction schedules
  • Waterworks or wastewater experience a plus

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$6,374.70 - $13,933.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
