Job Posting:

The SEC Reporting Analyst will assist in the planning, organization and preparation of the Company's external financial statements and SEC filings (including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, 8-K), as well as other filings in conjunction with various corporate transactions. The scope of responsibility includes the financial statements, footnotes, XBRL tagging, MD&A and other disclosures. The position reports to the Director - SEC & External reporting.

Location: This role is approved for remote work based in the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development of a formal calendar/timeline of events associated with all filings including reviews by internal personnel, disclosure committee, and the audit committee of the board of directors and external auditors.

  • Assists in the detailed preparation of the Company's external financial reporting within required filing deadlines.

  • Create, organize and maintain supporting data templates, work papers and disclosures contained in external financial reports, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all disclosures.

  • Assists with the Company’s accounting for acquisitions, including coordination of valuation intangible assets, balance sheet and goodwill roll forwards, as well as footnote preparation.

  • Coordinate the collection of supporting documentation from various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

  • Work with external and internal auditors to provide information required to complete quarterly reviews and annual audits.

  • Collaborate with the investor relations department in the preparation of Company earnings releases.

  • Assist in the analysis of the quarterly financial results leading to significant interaction with external auditors and divisional finance personnel.

  • Organize and maintain supporting work papers related to Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance.

  • Assists and coordinate the validation, corroboration and tie-out of data to relevant supporting documentation for all external reporting activities.

  • Assists with training internal finance and accounting personnel with regards to SEC reporting practice and procedures and new accounting policies and procedures under US GAAP.

  • Assist with any and all ad hoc reporting, research or document preparation as assigned.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, including 3+ years in public accounting (Big 4) with SEC reporting exposure a plus.

  • Experience working and researching within sophisticated ERP / General Ledger platform.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance related field; CPA designation required.

  • Experience with SEC reporting software a plus.

Pay Range:

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$5,175.00 - $11,275.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
