The Omnichannel Direct Marketing team is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Email Developer, responsible for building, testing and launching complex email, SMS, and journey campaigns.

Serving as the technical domain matter expert within specific areas of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud applications and internal tools, the candidate should be a skilled consultant in this space. This position will be hands-on in building, testing, and deployment of email campaigns and journeys within the commercial technology stack. The candidate will guide on technical best practices and facilitate testing and deployment processes during implementation.

Essential Functions:

  • Owns the process for building, QA, and deployment of emails, SMS, and journeys.
  • Coordinates with other product managers and business architects to ensure the cohesiveness of the overall customer journey experience.
  • Stays current on competitive trends/threads and identifies opportunities to beat market expectations.
  • Shares expertise with team member and key stakeholders.
  • Manages requirements and prioritization through business value Roi, alignment with inbox management strategy, and resource capacity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills:

  • Work with marketing teams to understand key campaign parameters and inputs such as subscriber audience, program frequency, degree of personalization, and overall creative approach
  • Instills confidence through maturity, expertise and impeccable communications (written and verbal) and provides best practices recommendations
  • Leads technical aspects of projects related to email and responsive campaigns
  • Manages data flows and lists and suggest areas for optimization
  • Creates HTML paste emails and landing pages using HTML and inline CSS
  • Leverages Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools and scripting languages to deliver highly dynamic and personalized content
  • Assists with the execution of sophisticated email campaign sends.
  • Develops robust documentation
  • Assists in the development/enablement of Production Specialist resources

Considered a Plus:

  • 3+ years of experience coding HTML and CSS, as well as scripting languages such as JavaScript, Actionscript, Coldfusion, or VB Script
  • 2+ years’ experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Possess a strong background of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and channel applications within the platform, including Email Studio, Content Builder, and Journey Builder. Data Cloud experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Marketing Cloud Setup & Configuration activities and technical implementation experience
  • Relevant Salesforce Certifications
  • Proficient with Email Responsive HTML & CSS, AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical documentation and the ability to conceptualize and communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with Campaign Strategy, Execution, Digital Analytics and Email Design preferred, but not required

    Minimum Education

    Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent.

    Minimum Experience

    Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Communication skills.

    Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

    Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $7,094.23/month - $12,533.14/month New York Pay Range: $7,488.36/month - $12,533.14/month New York City Pay Range: $9,458.98/month - $12,533.14/month Colorado Pay Range: $7,488.36/month - $12,010.93/month

    Additional Details: This position may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and US territories. Depending on your location, you may be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.
