We seek a past performance writer with exceptional writing, research, and organizational skills to support the Business Development proposal department. This role involves developing content and completing writing assignments. We seek a positive, team-oriented individual enthusiastic about developing general and technical content. Effective collaboration, direction following, meeting tight deadlines, adjusting to changing priorities, and constructive feedback acceptance are essential.
What You’ll Do: Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage multiple proposals at the same time.
- Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Experience with monitoring systems.
- Participate in full proposal lifecycle; organize proposal efforts, coordinate color team reviews (including documentation), schedule work sessions and check-in meetings.
- Read Request For Proposals (RFPs), provide Request For Information (RFI) responses, and presentations.
- Prepare, format, edit, review, and produce for the delivery of compelling bid proposals.
- Ensure all RFP requirements are met, and proposals are tailored to client needs.
- Ensure consistency in proposal writing by complying with company standards.
- Work directly with Business Development Team and SMEs associated with FSI partners and subcontractors to create proposal content strategy, plans, and understanding of customer needs.
- Maintain quality by using consistent proposal templates, following standards for a concise and well written proposal, as well as SOW requirements.
- Assist in final production, evaluating text and graphics; coordinating printing if required, and ensuring timely delivery of proposals in accordance with RFP instructions.
- Create easy to digest documentation, utilizing diagrams, charts, and graphs when applicable to streamline text and make documentation easy to read for reviewers. Write clear and concise assigned proposal section.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience developing proposals or other related experience.
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills, including grammar and composition.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, InDesign experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively; ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
- Ability to react well under pressure in high-stressed situations; accept responsibility for own actions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse interdisciplinary team.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to perform work at job locations other than the corporate office for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to work in the sitting position for 8 or more hours per day.
- Must be able to work at a computer station for extended period of time.
- Must be able to handle stressful conditions and make multiple decisions concerning job operations on a daily basis.
