Job Title: Financial Service RepresentativeReports to: Branch Manager/Teller CoordinatorLocation: Clarksville, TNFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSUMMARY: Performs a variety of functions for deposit and loan customers. Strives to retain present customers and develop new business by extending professional and efficient service. Suggests additional services and products to meet customer’s needs. Adheres to all compliance and security procedures.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Under general supervision, but in compliance with established policies and procedures, serves customers by providing product and service information. Resolves customer service problems and recommends products or services to potential customers. Must have extensive knowledge of all Bank products. Duties include but are not limited to: Assist customers in a professional and service-oriented manner; Open new accounts and prepare required documentation; Actively cross-sell bank services; Complete arrangements and documents for fund transfers; Answer questions and solve problems for customers and branch staff; Open IRA/SEP retirement accounts and process related documentation; Process retirement accounts and direct deposit forms; Maintain professional customer relations to enhance the Bank’s marketing effort; Recognize situations beyond authority and refer to management; Answer in-person and telephone inquiries; Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently; Complete correct bank documents; Operate teller terminal; Assist with Remote Branch Capture; Process transactions per policy; Balance teller station at close of business; Count, prove and package currency and coin; Report outages per standards; May assist with branch ATM; Ensure Night Deposits are processed properly; Perform all other teller functions; Assist other tellers/branch personnel; Complete bank training in a timely manner; Report to work as scheduled.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None (serves as a leader among peers).QUALIFICATIONS: LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short memos; write simple correspondence. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent; current Driver’s License.WORK ENVIRONMENT: May be exposed to risk of electrical shock; occasional fumes/airborne particles and vibration; noise level usually quiet to moderate.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly required to sit; use hands; reach; talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand and walk. Occasionally lift/move 10–25 pounds. Requires close and distance vision.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 2–4 years of banking experience is required.
