Assist the Human Resource Department with recruitment duties at the direction of Director, Recruiting. Embrace our purpose of “Creating Solutions” and portray the most positive image of CBE in all endeavors of this position. Assist in meeting the operations revenues through the recruitment of qualified personnel.

Job Details:

  • Follow recruiting process for corporate and/or branch office including sourcing, phone screens, selecting, interviewing, and scheduling candidates for interviews and related follow-up.

  • Ensure all recruitment processes and hiring checklist items are completed and documented.

  • Follow processes for interviewing, background screening and hiring of qualified candidates for the Company.

  • Access employment credit reports and be able to interpret the report for conformity to our credit check background check procedures (when applicable).

  • Conduct and interpret criminal checks for prospective employees that conform to our background check procedures.

  • Follow the process for a tracking system for all resumes and applications that are received by the Company.

  • Continually review recruiting steps and effectiveness by establishing measurement systems and suggest improvements.

  • Conduct group new hire orientations and one-on-one orientations when needed.

  • Participate, as needed, on internal interviewing teams for professional & management positions.

  • Communicate with the Management staff and HR staff to identify recruiting needs.

  • Locate, research and travel as appropriate to colleges, job fairs, workshops, and any other recruiting sources to perform on going recruiting initiatives when needed.

  • Provide input in the design of advertisements for recruiting needs. Assist in creating and writing job ads for various media sources.

  • Partner with the Marketing and communication dept to create and post-employment flyers.

  • Have a good understanding of the Indeed Job Advertisement Board and how to write Job Advertisements to attract candidates.

  • Understand how to use Social Media to advertise and recruit.

  • Conduct Outreach Monthly and document new partners on the Outreach spreadsheet to maintain Affirmative Action Compliance and supply CBE with a diverse pool of candidates.

  • Continually evaluate and suggest new ways of recruiting talented employees to join the Company.

  • Learn and maintain awareness of current laws and regulations concerning employee recruitment and hiring.

  • Incorporate CBE’s Core Values, Vision and Purpose into all recruiting programs and ensure that these core values are being adopted.

  • Gain a clear understanding of all CBE departments and subsidiaries.

  • Learn and understand CBE Corporate policies and procedures.

  • Review and understand all HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

  • Assist in maintaining a process for conforming with EEO-1 requirements, as it relates to submitting forms timely for affirmative action.

  • Assist in posting open job positions externally, including on the local workforce development web site per our Affirmative Action Plan.

  • Seek to recruit and employ minorities and females; utilize the Affirmative Action Plan as a tool.

  • Research recruiting ideas to learn costs and criteria.

  • Participate in setting up and conducting job fairs that CBE participates in.

  • Assist in coordinating all aspects of on-site job fairs.

  • Assist in the process to send out offer and decline letters to applicants as appropriate.

  • Understand the Company’s drug testing policy

  • Ability to take initiative and complete assignments, after initial direction, to completion

Job Requirements:

  • 2 Year Degree in Human Resources or related coursework preferred or equivalent work experience.

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with various levels of associates and management.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills are required.

  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
